Hydration is the key to a healthy body.

Hydration enables our organs to work more efficiently, helps us absorb the nutrients from our food, and flushes out toxins.
-
Skin health, vaginal health, hair health, body health, you name it.
-
A hydrated body can sleep at night.
-
A dehydrated body stays up, with muscle tension, headaches, low serotonin production, and digestive issues.
How much water is enough?
-
1 in 5 doctor visits is the result of dehydration! Think about how much time you can save by throwing back just a few extra glasses of water each day…

6 to 8 glasses of water each day will help you feel so much better.
Crowd out sugary and alcoholic beverages with water

Add fresh fruit like lemon slices to water to add some excitement.

Think about your day and when you can fit in an additional glass of water, perhaps between meals, to help you avoid snacking.

PFAS & MICROPLASTICS
Some people prefer to drink from glass bottles rather than plastic due to concerns about PFAS and microplastics. Plastic water bottles are often stored in extremely warm warehouses, and there is concern that the plastic in the bottle itself gets leached into the water. More research needs to be done. Pick your battles with plastic. Do what you can to reduce your exposure, and stop worrying about the rest.

ALKALINE WATER
Your stomach neutralizes the pH of the liquids you’re consuming. The pH level of the water you drink may not be worth paying extra for. You’re better off looking at the mineral content of the water.
FLUORIDE
There is a difference between the fluoride in spring water versus fluoride in municipal drinking water. One is naturally occurring (calcium fluoride) and has been a part of spring water for millennia, whereas the other (sodium fluoride) is artificially laced.
The reason why fluoride is added to toothpaste and drinking water is simple — it was found to aid in preventing the formation of cavities. Fluoride ions strengthen the enamel in our teeth and make it more resistant to breaking down. This is why we see fluoride everywhere… BUT, there is concern recently raised that adding fluoride to our drinking water may affect the thyroid gland, leading to lowering IQ in children.
THIS is why there’s a movement to de-fluoridate municipal tap water. However, the American Dental Association (ADA) strongly supports community water fluoridation at optimal levels as a safe, effective, and cost-efficient public health measure for preventing tooth decay.
GETTING MINERALS FROM FOOD INSTEAD
Yes, there’s absolutely no question you CAN get essential electrolytes and minerals from food sources.
DISTILLED WATER
You may not want to consume 100% distilled water. Especially when you’re thirsty and in absolute need of hydration. Flushing your body with 100% distilled water can dilute the electrolytes you already have present. That is why some people find themselves forever thirsty even though they’re flushing themselves with water.
